Releasing an album has been a dream that I’ve been chasing on and off for the past 4 years. I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to finally have something to share. Bach-ish is now streaming across all platforms!

The concept of this album stems from my love of Nina Simone. She, like myself, fell in love with Bach’s music and had the dream to become a classical musician. After attending Juilliard and developing the skill necessary she was ultimately rejected by the classical music industry for being Black. Heart broken she turned to Jazz/Popular music to make a living. All the while using Bach’s inspiration in her melodies and improvisations. I would describe this unique sound concept as Bach-ish. In order to emulate that concept I have recorded compositions inspired by Bach like the Hommage A Bach and The Gift of “Little G”. While Nina Simone never had the opportunity become a professional classical musician, I have because of her and others who’ve paved the way. I’m grateful for that and hope you the listener enjoy my debut album. It’s short running less than 30 minutes but it’s just a taste for what’s in store for the future.
